I am a clinical social worker with over 20 years of group and individual work experience. I have an in-person and online private practice of individual clients, and I lead support groups, workshops, and trainings at various community organizations. I provide supervision and consultation to professionals interested in group facilitation, and I teach Health and Wellness courses at Brandeis University focusing on eco-anxiety and taking care of yourself as a student activist. Before solely focusing on my private practice, I was the Director of Inpatient Group Therapy at McLean Hospital and the inaugural head of the group therapy program at the Brandeis University Counseling Center. I was also the founding Lead Therapist at McLean’s Spirituality and Mental Health Department, helping to develop the hospital’s first-ever Spirituality and Treatment groups.
“Hadassah: Your beautiful soul and lovely face and smile have such a calming effect on me and I think others. You so beautifully allow room for some amazing and deep sharing.” – Spirituality Workshop participant
When I walk into an individual session or group room, I am blown away by people’s desire to live their most effective life. I give my clients so much credit for taking the step to ask for help. They want to change.
Through a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens, I love using psychodynamic, psychoeducational, and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches to engage with clients and find commonalities among group members. And it’s rewarding to witness their courage through self-exploration. I help people be kinder to themselves and realize that they are not the only ones going through this.
